- ODM
- Raspberry Pi 5
- AWS
- LTE
- Satellite
Problem worth solving
Support aerial fire detection and mapping where field connectivity may be too limited for continuous cloud transfer.
Engineering decisions
- Integrated an ODM aerial-mapping workflow with AWS image storage and fire-detection inference management.
- Built onboard image storage with a Raspberry Pi 5 to reduce dependence on a live connection.
- Experimented with LTE and satellite data transmission for low-connectivity operations.
What changed
- The project received TEKNOFEST Turkey 2025 funding; Thariq contributed as a team member.
- Produced an autonomous-system concept spanning onboard storage, aerial mapping, cloud storage, and fire-detection results.
